What to know

Area indicator
The official HUD description uses area Threat labels from Low through Extreme.
Response
Higher pressure brings more numerous and capable enemies, including heavier reinforcements.
Calming an area
Break contact and reduce visual and audio exposure; the official guide recommends cover and stealth to reduce pressure.
Other Operators
Human players do not count toward the area Threat indicator. A Low area can still contain a rival squad.
Secondary star descriptionsReported
Some early guides use a one-to-five-star escalation description; do not treat that wording as an infantry-tier or kill-count scale.

Before your next move

  1. Read the area indicator before starting a fight.
  2. Use cover and reduce exposure when reinforcements build.
  3. Recheck the area rather than assuming one kill always changes its level.
